A little background on our bird scarer product
 The original G1 Peaceful Pyramid was invented by Jane Lewis for use on the family farm. Neighbours had become increasingly annoyed by the indiscriminate blasts of gas guns and bird scaring kites were proving irresistible targets for local children! Comprising a rotating, reflective pyramid powered by a small electric motor and electronic control unit, the Peaceful Pyramid deflects light into the air at the reverse angle of a bird's approach. Since the original design, the unit has been enhanced and is now available for post mounting, giving a much wider range of uses.

 The Peaceful Pyramid runs off a 12 volt battery. The electronic controller controls the speed of the motor to a specific level and a light sensor turns the unit off at night, providing up to 13 weeks of use from a standard car battery before recharging is needed (UK daylight).
Solar chargers can also be used to keep the battery charged if desired, making the system completely stand alone and maintenance free. |
 Although originally used on farms, the Peaceful Pyramid has now proved equally effective, and popular, in many other commercial areas where birds are as much, if not more, of a problem. In order to fulfil the demand in these areas the post model was developed for use in situations where the ground model of the Peaceful Pyramid may have been unsuitable.
For example where there are crops such as vineyards and orchards, or where weather conditions or situations require a raised or fixed deterrent such as oil rigs, airports, buildings and electricity transformers. Boats are another area where this birdscarer can now be used to deter fouling by gulls and other seabirds. |
